How CD-AG Started

If you haven't met who we are yet, click here to hop on over and become familiar with who the founders and contributors are behind Canadian Dairy Advocacy Group (CD-AG). These five young dairy leaders established CD-AG in the fall of 2011 after recognizing the gap that existed between Canadian dairy farmers and Canadian consumers. CD-AG was founded to bring consumer awareness in Canada from the first-hand perspective of the Canadian dairy farmer through social media mediums.

The five members of CD-AG - Amanda Allen, Courtney Connors, Christina Crowley, Robert Larmer, and Ed Rusenstrom - experienced the opportunity of a lifetime in 2011 when they were each nominated and selected as five Canadians to attend the Young Dairy Leader’s Institute (YDLI) in New Mexico— an internationally recognized three-phase leadership and communication skills development program for young adults involved in the dairy industry. Once Amanda, Courtney, Christina, Robert, and Ed attended the program and met each other, it was clear that all five Canadians shared a common passion for the dairy industry and wanted to achieve the same goals- to become dairy advocators for the Canadian dairy industry. And because of this, Canadian Dairy Advocacy Group (CD-AG) was founded.
